The Last DJ for us is that rare and special breed of the freeform radio deejays who curated the Classic Era of Rock Music. They hipped us to what was new, what was old, how they fit together, and why it mattered. They taught us to know the music as well as to love it.
With each year now, they are passing away, and another of them, the great Tony Pigg, has died. His obituary in the New York Times can be found HERE.
Tony was an incredible talent who was on the scene from the very beginning and maintained his relationship with the airwaves and his audience for a long and very brilliant career. May he rest in peace with all his colleagues who've gone before him.
